01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

The signature Ran'en Men arrives with an immediate aroma of garlic, featuring savory pork in a lightly spiced soy-sauce broth that sharpens the appetite. For a gentler bite, the wallet-friendly classic ramen combines a light, Japanese-influenced soy broth with smooth noodles, tender pork loin chashu, and spinach. Selections like Gomoku Soba topped with crab claws and prawns, alongside pan-fried gyoza available to order by the piece, offer plenty of variety across noodles and dim sum alone.

Beyond Chinese-style dishes, Ran'en distinguishes itself with a robust lineup of teishoku sets centering on fish. Fresh catches such as tuna, striped jack, amberjack, and red sea bream appear on the sashimi platter, while marinated zuke-don bowls and rich grilled amberjack showcase the kitchen's seafood sourcing. Sashimi and rice bowls can also be paired with ramen or udon in set meals, adding extra heft to midday or evening meals.

The dining room maintains a relaxed, approachable mood that suits solo diners well, whether for weekday lunches or an easy dinner after work. Meals can be paired with beer or sake, and payments are handled in cash.
